Welcome to RUN LOVE RUN 30k, 15k & 8k, a scenic trails races in Newport, Oregon, honoring St. Valentine's Day! All races start and finish at South Beach Marina. Here's a Google Map of the start/finish location.

8K Course

Starting at South Beach Marina, runners follow a picturesque route beneath the iconic Yaquina Bay Bridge, along Yaquina Bay to South Beach State Park. The course winds through single-track trails in the park, offering challenging terrain amidst lush scenery. Emerging from the park, runners return along the scenic bay to the finish line, celebrating their love for running and the beauty of the Oregon coast.

8K Elevation Profile

15k Course

15k runners will embark on an unforgettable journey along the same scenic route as the 30K race.

At the approx. 6.6k mark, just beyond the Upper Crazy Train trailhead, runners will continue along the course, charting a unique path that diverges from the longer 30K route. This twist adds an exciting challenge to the race, allowing participants to push themselves to new limits and experience the thrill of exploration in the heart of Oregon's coastal wilderness.

30k Course

Experience the ultimate test of endurance at RUN LOVE RUN's 30K race, where runners conquer both distance and terrain against the breathtaking backdrop of Newport, Oregon. Starting with the familiar 8K course, participants begin their journey at South Beach Marina, traversing beneath the iconic Yaquina Bay Bridge and along the scenic Yaquina Bay to South Beach State Park.

But the adventure doesn't end there. As the 8K route nears its conclusion, 30K racers diverge, embarking on an extended odyssey past the Oregon Coast Aquarium. From there, they navigate the rugged beauty of Idaho Point Loop along the Yaquina Bay, entering the challenging terrain of Wilder Trails.

Here, runners encounter a diverse landscape of single-track trails, logging roads, and more, testing their strength and determination to the fullest. Exiting the Wilder Trails, they rejoin the tranquil path along Yaquina Bay, drawing upon their reserves of stamina for the final push towards the finish line.

Aid Stations

8K: Aid Stations at 1 & 4 Miles

15K: Aid Stations at 2.2 & 7 miles

30K: Aid stations at 1, 4, 7, 12.8 & 16.5 miles

Aid stations will be stocked with water, Tailwind hydration, GU Engergy Gels and usual ultra snacks - cut-up fruits, PBJ, etc.
