Race Info

The Newport Resolution Run & Polar Bear Plunge features 3 races to choose from - Half Marathon, 10k & 5k. The 5k & 10k are paved road, flat & fast while the half marathon is a challenging course consisting paved road & mixed single-track trails and dirt road.

Polar Bear Plunge

The finish line is at the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean. After you cross the finish line, you have the option to stay dry or take a dive in the ocean.

Awards Ceremony

The award ceremony will be held at the Rogue Brewery where delicious beer and yummy & warm food will be awaiting. Unless you make an arrangement, prizes not claimed will be donated so if must leave prior to the awards make sure to talk to us first if you think you won.

Packet Pickup Options

Early Packet Pickup

Early Packet Pickup is on Friday from 6:00 pm - 7:30pm at the Rogue Brewery. You'll find us in the "Board Room". Rogue's addres is 2320 SE Marine Science Dr, Newport, OR 97365.

Race Day Packet Pickup

Race day packet pickup will open at 7:30am. It'll be at the Rogue Brewery or at the starting line. The Rogue Brewery is approx. 1 mile from the starting line. We'll start the races promptly at 9:00am and 10:00am. Please make sure you give yourself prenty of time to get your packet and get yourself to the starting line on time. An email will be sent out on Monday, December 30th and we'll announce on this email where Race Day packet pickup will be held. The starting line is at the end of the South Jetty Rd Here's a Google Map of our starting location.

Drop Bags

We'll have a drop bag tent at the starting line. Our volunteers will take your bags to the finish line which is about .3 miles from the starting line. Please make sure your bag is labeled with your name and bib #. DO NOT leave your drop bag at the end of the day. Any drop bags not picked up by the end of race day will be donated or otherwise disposed of.
