Course Description & Maps

15k Course

The race starts right underneath the iconic Yaquina Bay Bridge by the Rogue Brewery's main entrance. First 1.4 miles are flat, fast pavement. At approx 1.4, you'll take a right on SE Leeks High Rd. Your first climb starts here. Continue for about .20 and you will reach the gate and the Wilder Trails. Your next 10k will be mixed single-track trails and gravel road. Approx 1.75 miles gravel road and the remaining distance of sweet single track trails. The last 1.4 miles is again, flat and fast as you head to the finish! The trails portion make this course fun but challenging with approx. 1,350ft of elevation gain. Actual distance is 9.4 miles.

30k Course

The race starts right underneath the iconic Yaquina Bay Bridge. You'll head west toward the Pacific Ocean and run approx 4.5 miles around the South Beach State Park. This portion is approx .5 miles pavement and approx 4 miles of single-track trails.

Now you're back at the starting line. Next two miles are flat and fast as you run along side the Yaquina Bay. You'll have a small climb at around 6.7 miles before reaching the trails. You'll reach the trails at approx 7.25 miles. The next 9.75 miles are a mixed of single track trails and gravel road, mostly single track trails. The last 1.4 miles is again, flat and fast as you head to the finish!

At approx. 11 miles, the 30k will split from the 15k and do a lollipop around the Yakona Nature Preserve. At approx 15 miles, it'll join the 15k course and follow it to the finish. This is a very challenging course with approx. 2,200 ft of elevation gain. Distance is 18.8 miles so a bit longer than a 30k!

Aid Stations

15K: Aid Stations at 2.2, 5.6 & 7.2 miles

30K: Aid stations at 4, 7.7, 11. 15, & 16.6 miles

Aid stations will be stocked with water, Tailwind hydration, GU Engergy Gels and usual ultra snacks - cut-up fruits, PBJ, etc.
